Krasak Village is located in Jatibarang District, Indramayu Regency, West Java Province. One of the livelihoods of the people of Krasak Village is as a craftsman of satay skewers (sujen). Bamboo is the main raw material for making satay skewers(sujen). The process of making satay skewers begins with splitting the bamboo. Thepeople of Krasak Village who make a living as craftsmen of satay skewers still usesimple tools such as machetes to split bamboo stems. In the manufacturing process,the author carries out a series of fabrication processes such as: Marking, Cutting, Welding, and other processes on the materials that have been prepared in the process of making a bamboo splitting machine with press break technology for satay products. With a torque of 151.5 Nm, it can split bamboo rope type for skewerproducts. The bamboo splitting machine with press break technology for this skewer product uses a splitter with 8 blades and can also split bamboo until it is split into 8 bamboo splits. Testing to determine the results of bamboo splitting aims to determine the size of the bamboo splits produced in splitting using a bamboo splitting machine with press break technology for skewer products. The results obtained from testing the time in one minute of the process are 11 bamboo sticks. Based on these results, the process of splitting the bamboo splitting machine with press break technology for skewer products can work effectively in increasing productivity. The results of testing the machine that was made produced neat and fast splits to split bamboo on skewer products. Keywords : bamboo, press break, splitter
