Abstrak
Welding is a technique for joining metals by partially melting the parent metal and filler metal with or without pressure and with or without additional metal and producing a continuous connection. Friction stir welding (FSW) is a solid state welding (SSW) welding process that utilizes friction in the process to create heat that stirs and unites the two metals with the help of a rotating tool joint and another stationary workpiece. This research aims to determine the effect of speed and tool rotation variations that occur in friction stir welding with materials. The material used is 1100 series aluminum with the parameters used are spindle rotational speed of 515.6 Rpm and 1032 Rpm with welding speeds of 2 mm/second and 3 mm/second. The results of the bending test carried out showed the largest bending strength value at a rotation speed parameter of 1032 Rpm with a feed rate of 16 mm/second worth 553.5 N????????2.
