Background: The risk of infection due to caesarean birth wounds is greater when compared to normal birth wounds. If healing is incomplete, germs will infect more easily, making the wound more severe and can cause wound dehiscence. Dehiscence is a wound in the form of detachment of part or all of the stitches on the skin and other layers of tissue. Objective: This case study is to analyze the implementation of wound care in post-Caesarean section patients with a risk of infection at Indramayu Regional Hospital. Method: The method in this research uses a case study. Data collection uses the nursing care process which includes assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation evaluation. Results: before wound care was carried out, the results were obtained with the following criteria: redness 3 (moderate), pain 1 (increased), after 3 days of wound care for 20 minutes there was a change in the level of infection, redness 5 (decreased), pain 3 (moderate). Conclusion: In this case, prevention of infection and wound care can be implemented in patients at risk of infection after caesarean section with complaints of redness in the wound area around the stitches, pain in the post-operative wound achieved with targets and outcomes.
