PENGARUH PARAMETER WELDING TIME DAN PRESSURE TERHADAP KEKUATAN SAMBUNG DENGAN MESIN OTOMATIS RESISTANCE SPOT WELDING METODE ELEKTRODA SERI PADA MATERIAL BAJA

Abstrak
Welding Resistance Spot Welding is widely used in welding processes, generally used for joining thin metals. Usage (Spot Welding) in construction is in the manufacture of vehicles, where spot welding (Spot Welding) is used for plate welding of frame walls as well as general applications of parallel gap welding including battery packs, medical or automotive sensor cables to PCBs, solar cells, hybrid circuits or microwaves, thin or thick film substrates, potentiometers and other miniature components. Resistance spot welding process using the series electrode method to determine the shear ability of SK-5 Steel material with a thickness of 0.3mm. This research method uses an experimental method with a welding current of 8000 A and varying the welding time from 1 to 10 with a constant pressure of 20 kg. This type of welding connection uses a lap-joint with electrodes made of copper with a truncated cone type and a tip diameter of the tip of the electrode is 2mm. Measurement of the nugget area was carried out using a digital microscope. The experiment resulted in the largest welding nugget area at cycle time 10 with a positive nugget area of 1.592mm and a negative nugget area of 1.507mm. For welding results with maximum shear load values found at cycle time 7 with a value of 356.69 N and a displacement of 0.88mm.Tests were also carried out with the addition of insulation at the bottom of the specimen with welding variations using 8000A with a cycle time of 3 to 10 for welding results using additional insulation with the maximum shear load value found at cycle time 8 with a value of 413.69 N and a displacement of 1.00mm and for The results of measuring the nugget area with the addition of insulation at the bottom of the specimen were found at cycle time 8 with an upper specimen nugget area of 2.418mm and a lower specimen nugget area of 2.380mm.
