Abstrak

In this modern era, the development of science and technology is very rapid, not only centered on one field, almost all fields follow its development. One of them is the development of a refrigeration system. Refrigeration itself has many applications including domestic refrigeration, commercial refrigeration, industrial refrigeration, transportation refrigeration and others. One of the many applications of refrigeration in Indonesia, there is one branch of refrigeration that is very useful, namely the refrigeration system in the food sector, such as the refrigeration system for ice cube machines. With the efficiency of a well-designed tool, it will produce a modern ice cube making machine. Data is taken once every 5 minutes for 3 hours. This data collection was carried out for 2 trials. Measurement of the difference in the location of the capillary tube with the same size of 0.070 inches inside and outside the cabin. Based on the test results and data processing obtained, the difference in the location of the inner 0.070 inch capillary tube has a COPcarnot value of 5.66 and the outer 0.070 inch capillary tube is 5.22. the difference in the location of the inner 0.070 inch capillary tube has a COPactual value of 4.37 and the outer 0.070 inch capillary tube is 3.97. the difference in the location of the inner 0.070 inch capillary tube has an efficiency value of 77% and the outer 0.070 inch capillary tube is 75%. A good use of different places for the efficiency of the ice cube machine is a 0.070 inch deep capillary tube because the cabin temperature is reached quickly and is more stable for making ice cubes freeze.
