RANCANG BANGUN MINI COLD STORAGE UNTUK PENYIMPANAN BUAH MANGGA

Abstrak
The purpose of this tool is to determine the cooling load on the Mini Cold
Storage machine, to determine the time needed to reach a temperature of 10°C, to
determine the performance of Mini Cold Storage. This tool uses a vapor
compression cooling system meaning that this tool cools the storage room or
cabin. Cold Storage has low temperature conditions between 1ºC - 10ºC. This
chilled room is used to store fresh food ingredients such as vegetables, fruits and
other food ingredients whose shelf life can be no more than 60 days. Cold Storage
is used to store products with a temperature of 10 °C to 13 °C. So based on the
calculation of the cooling load obtained is 295.588 Watt, so the compressor used
for Mini Cold Storage is ½ PK. The machine used is an outdoor AC ½ PK.
Obtaining cabin and product data, namely cabin temperature 10°C and product
13.7°C. The temperature for storing the product is 12°C-15°C and in the 50th
minute the product reaches a temperature of 15°C. Which means it only takes 50
minutes to reach cooling. The COP Carnot value of the test results was 8.24. The
actual COPA value of the test results is 6.97. The efficiency value of the test
results is 80%.
