Abstrak
ABSTRACK
There are quite a lot of renewable alternative energy sources in Indonesia, including biomass or organic waste materials. Some of the biomass that has considerable potential are agricultural waste, industrial waste. Biomass can be processed and used as an alternative fuel, for example by making briquettes. The Indramayu area still has a lot of agricultural and industrial waste which results from agricultural waste and namely coconut shells, sawdust and wood chips from furniture making, because a lot of agricultural waste can be utilized by making briquettes. The briquette printing machine functions to compact the mixture or dough and print briquettes which results in production time efficiency. The method used is using a mixer machine for mixing materials and a briquette printing machine for printing from materials into briquettes by condensing using a screw conveyor. In the design process, such as determining the design safety factor, determining the material, and the cost efficiency of making a briquette molding machine. The workings of the briquette printing machine utilize the rotation of the motor to drive the screw conveyor from the rotating shaft. The design that has been made has dimensions of 600mm x 500mm x 700mm. The briquette printing machine is driven using a 0.75HP electric motor. Produces a maximum moment on the frame of 7,139.7 N/mm. The factor of safety obtained from the simulation process is 1.4 for the main frame of the briquette machine, meaning that the framework that is designed is safe because the value of the factor of safety can exceed 1 and below 3.
